1998-2006 | PATAPSCO GREENWAY HERITAGE PROJECT: Commissioned by The Maryland Historical Trust. Sixty black and white environmental portraits of people living in the historic towns of Ellicott City, Oella, Elkridge, and Relay, Maryland. Collaborated with historian/writer Allison Kahn. Traveling Exhibition, accepted into THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS BICENTENNIAL “Local Leagues”. Additional grant from the Maryland Historical Trust enabled us to make images and essays of the places and to edit the oral histories accompanying the portraits, into book form. In addition to my Fine Art and travel work, I am currently working with the Baltimore Tree Trust, documenting the planting of 500 trees in inner city Baltimore with the purpose of enhancing air quality ,raising property values, and involving the community in the planting and care of the trees and, by extension the streets, which were cleaned and assessed by a teen team, working with a Banner neighborhood program.

I have worked with architects, engineers, graphic designers and art directors in the execution of commissions. My commercial work has included advertising, corporate and institutional assignments. A selected list of clients includes; AT&T, The Johns Hopkins Medical Systems, T. Rowe Price, The University of Maryland Medical Systems, Equitable Trust Bank, and Goucher College. Documentary projects include “A Photographic Survey of Maryland”, sponsored by the Maryland Institute of Art, “Patapsco, Life Along Maryland’s Historic River Valley” through the Maryland Historic Trust, “The Friends of The Patapsco Greenway; North Brentwood”, sponsored by The Maryland Historical Trust, and “Cherry Hill”, sponsored by Loyola College.
